as the other as folks have to specifically be on the JPD site and go thru
the forum from there. It will primarily be utilized by JPD Regulars, which is

Okay. Dumb girl question part I. :D What is the Footbraker Class? Maybe I should have posted this in the newbie section..

Hey Lisa! The Footbrake Class leaves the starting line off the cars brake pedal
rather than a transbrake and electronic delay box. When we get you to enter
a race, you would run in this class. The classes for cars at JPD are Pro - also called Top & Footbrake - also called Modified, both of these classes and names of each are Drag Racing Industry Standards.

The Pro cars utilize a Transbrake & Electronic Delay Box that enables them to launch harder and fine tune their Reaction Time by releasing a trigger off the Top Bulb on the Tree. Footbrake Racers are often called "Bottom Bulb" Racers as most leave the line when the bottom amber bulb lights. There are a few articles I can refer you to that explain all of this in detail, if your interested in reading up on all of this just let me know and I can email you the links.:D

This ain't Tracey. This is the other look alike. I run in footbrake. His black nova is in pro. They are both 70 Novas and are both straight black. The major difference is he has different wheels and has a bubble on his cowl hood. He also runs 5.40s and we run 7.10s. Look next this Saturday if your there. We park beside each other. And don't let him fool you, we had the Nova first and claimed black first he just beat us to it.

Hey Gary,
Tracy races a '70 Nova in the Pro class. It usually runs 5.40's depending on the weather. He came in 2nd in the points last year but has been having a lot of bad luck so far this year. Keeps going and trying every weekend, though. All the boys remember you and wanted to know what you were up to these days? Oh yeah now that I know about the dune buggie accident that explains a lot!:biggrin2: They said to stop in some time when you are up this way. They are always at the shop.

we go to carolina dragway some this year' and we live about 30 miles from orangeburg dragway they will open back up in sept - 18th.

Tracy's Nova is solid black. He says it's slow and low. You know how racing is HE can never go fast enough. Our son Trevor just started racing a jr. dragster and he has caught the speed bug from his dad as well. What is a momma to do?:nailbite: All of us will be at Carolina the first weekend in Oct. for the bracket finals. Come by and check us out.

the wife and i are getting into drag racing after years of sucking up dust at the dirt tracks around sc.
im thinking of building a 77 pinto i have here at the house or im looking at a chevy carmaro that a guy has for sell that is already set up for bracket class'
how is the rest of the family doing ? are they all still doing ok ?
i saw larry and jan one weekend about two months ago' but i didnt have time to come by billys house and stop - sorry'

Tracy here, nice to hear from you, but you know thats a nobrainer buy the chevy.:laughing: You know to go fast and win you have to be in a chevy or at least powered by one. Glad to hear you are trading in the dirt for the tire smoke. I do have some friends who have mopar's but I am trying to convert them to chevy's as well. Mom, dad and all the boys were glad to hear from you. Hope to see you at the track soon.

You know I had to type what he wanted to say. He would have been up all night hunting and pecking! He opted for Auto Mech. in high school instead of computers. Oh well he still helps pay the bills so guess it turned out ok.
