New Dixie Doorslammers Series

Here are the details that the racers and track owners put together last night. The Dixie Doorslammers, Big 10 Series will be run at Pageland Dragway, Darlington Dragway and Midway Dragway. The Dixie Doorslammers will be an all-run 4.70 index door car series. Dates will be finalized the next few days but here are the bulk of the details. Each track will host 3 races for a total of 9 events then we’ll have a world final to complete a 10 race series. The world final will feature a $5,000 to win payday along with an Iron Man. Saturday, October 17th---WORLD FINALS---$5000.00 to the winner and an IRONMAN.
Location of this race to be announced at later date but will be at one of the tracks listed above.

This will be an all run field on a Sportsman Ladder. #1 qualifier will run #9 qualifier and so on based on a 16 car field. Any combination of power and or transmission will be allowed. All cars and drivers must comply with IHRA safety rules including neck-brace, gloves and fire suits.
We will run a points system and to run in the points for a chance to run in the WORLD FINALS, you must be a member of the DIXIE OUTLAW DOORSLAMMERS. We will only take the top 16 in the points to run in the World finals. Membership will be $100 per year for each member that wants to run for points. All proceeds will be paid out at the end of the year.
We are trying to have a series so that the racers and the tracks can survive this economy this year so the payouts will be as follows:

Total Payout---$2900.00 based on a 16 car field.

Entry-fee will be $100.00 for car and driver.
