We used to do challenge races between Beaver Springs, South Mountain, and Mason-Dixon. Kinda like a mini Bracket Finals. Always a good time! Plus, we already know that Team Pageland is good on the road! I think Joel and Kyle have already "introduced" Union to that fact! :rambo:

Hey Kev - unfortunately, the camaro is gone-sold it a few months ago.:frown:
Hated to see it go but I'll be back someday with something. We've got an old 70 Chevy Truck (street rod) that I started in years ago, so I may have to bring it down one day. Y'all hitters will have to spot me a few hund's though. Keep up the great driving! Hope to see you soon.

Don, not sure how you come into Pageland but here's what I know. From the intersection at the Marathon gas station, were Hardee's, Food Lion, yada yada everything else is, Go 601/9 South, through downtown Pageland. Like you went to the hotel one time. When you get out of Pageland you'll come to some islands. Keep right following 9 South. This will take you to Lancaster SC. Coming into Lancaster you'll exit off to the right onto the bypass, still on 9 South. Keep straight into Chester SC then. You'll cross over I77 and then into Chester. You're gonna turn Left at a light then. Can't remember the name of the road right now. Have to get back to you on that part. Its 4-lane there though, I know that. You go about 5 or 6 lights and turn left again. Again I don't remember the name of the road right now, I'll get back with you. You gonna carry that road 20 miles +/- . You'll go under a rail road crossing and they'll be a small store on the left. I think its a caution light. You'll turn right there and that road is Santuc Rd I think. Then you'll go bout 3 miles? and turn to right going across the railroad tracks and into the track which is back off the road a piece. You CAN miss that turn off. It is after a logging company I think I remember. Only been one time and was following people then. If you want to follow someone let me know.

I am going to Mooresville Friday so maybe I can meet someone at I-77 and Rt 9 on Sat morning.

That shouldn't be a problem. When you exit off of 77 onto 9 heading into Chester, then you can probably just pull off and you're sure to fall in behind someone then. Good luck at Mooresville.

Pageland will have a hard time winning this battle with the lack of support team Pageland had at the 1st event. I travelled 180mi to support the track at this event and didn't get home until around 11 EASTER SUNDAY. Sure didn't see much of that team spiret at this race. The 2009 team champions they kept referring to on the PA failed to show up. But the few of us that did faired pretty well as I lost at 10 cars and Kevin lost at 5. Chad Dotson won Mod with Noah Anderson getting runner up and Jim Woods 3rd. This was a $2000 to win race for a $50 entry. Race had a couple of glitches but they were taken care of by Tony Brown. Nice track and a nice series that the track owners have stuck their neck out to have for us---shame Pageland didn't support it better.
Wish I knew everyones name that did show---about 15 total, you know who you are.
Hope Brian Hicks motor is ok------and everyone had a nice Easter.
See you next week.

Well said Fern, we had a good run going till we came out of that third turn lol. Chad Williams showed up just in time for his time shots, despite having a blowout on the FRONT of his motorhome. He fiixed that then found he had little or no brakes due to a broken brake line via the blowout. It was a really poor showing for Team Pageland. Maybe the holidays had something to do with it. Anywho see all this weekend.:helmet:

Congratulations to Billy---well deserved. Couldn't help but notice a lot of our regular racers were not in attendence. And only 3 foot brake (mod) cars came from Union and at least one of them said he wasn't really a union racer but they claimed him.
I think the track operators stuck their neck out for this series and the racers just aren't supporting it very well. Kind of hard to not race at a race that in foot brake cost only $10 more for a shot at $2000 and in top it was just the regular entry price for the same money.
We will be racing for trophies soon if we don't get better support for the races that pay something.
Where you hiding Kevin??? I called but you're not there??????

You're so right Fern. I really cant see why people don't wont to show up for a purse like this. At four cars the money is 2900 for only a 50 entry. The tracks wont be able to keep this up if the car count doesn't get better. Maybe next year they could include Darlington to help the count. Just put my phone on the charger Fern, call you in a bit. Also congrats to Ray Funderburk, this guy was on fire last night. Good job Ray!!!

You guys are exactly right. It makes no sense for people not to show up and participate for just a few dollars more when the reward is that much greater.I was there and broke a lifter right out of the trailer and i just couldnt believe there were no more cars there than that.Nobody pays 2 grand to win anymore in any class, with the exception of an ihra national where the entry is 135.00 so to all us that race these tracks please come out and support these tracks that are atleast trying to do something for us.Thanks!
