Mufflers?

We were told last year that it was mandatory for all cars to have mufflers on them and we have been told every race this year we HAD to run them...so why do the cars that run on friday nights not have to hear about mufflers or run them at all?...

We went on Friday, April 9, 2010, and saw many cars that didnt have mufflers.

Just wanted to know the rules about this..

I have been wondering the same thing HotRod! They are cars that run on saturday's that don't have them either.I think someone needs to check every car that is at the track.

Got the Volare back together on Monday. Tested at Piedmont Friday night, went 6.96, 6.96, then put the Dynatech cone collector inserts in, ran 6.96 again, then back to back 6.95's turning the shift points up. Forgot how to drive at the Pro-Am yesterday, and worse, we ran about an hour later than the window I had to be able to make it to Pageland in time. :frown:

I think with a jet change, the inserts can help the E.T. in the 1/8th mile. Left 'em in... I like it a little quieter in my office. :cool:

Should be back May 1 if we get done with things at the IHRA Spring Nationals in a timely manner that Saturday.
