The points race on the 22nd looked like a wash out and thanks to the willingness and hard work of the track workers and a lot of racers that helped dry the track they got the race in. Looked like a pretty good turn out considering the conditions. Thanks for not throwing in the towel because it was wet, real wet.

Two thumbs up. Tracks that get a reputation for making the effort reap the benefits in the long run.

Back home in PA, with the former management that one track had, you almost didn't want to bother going if it was cloudy. At Beaver Springs, though, we'd drive through the pouring rain the whole way there because we KNEW that somehow we'd get it in!

Can't tell you how many times I called Bill Wilcom at 75&80 back in the day and he would say "come on, we are racing". Pop over the hill near the track, sun shining, sky blue, and locked up tighter than the gates of he ll one hour later.
