Is it a no no to mount the reg to the firewall?A local racer told me that the smaller tracks dont much care, but a larger track will not allow it.I am running a BG 2 port reg and Im having a time trying to mount it.I am running out the reg straight to the carb(-8 out the sides to the bowls).

This style regulator mounting bracket would make your life much easier. I don't think AED has on for the 170025 Barry Grant. You may have to fabricate your own. You're correct that the regulator will perform much better as close to the needle and seats as possible. As long as you have plumbed the fuel system in a safe manner I don't think Rockingham, Darlington, Mooresville, any of us IHRA sanctioned tracks will kick you to the curb. Check out the link below and you can get an idea how a lot of racers mount their regulators. I don't know if I've answered your question or not.
