I'm trying to put together a "High Roller" event for ALL classes on October
14th. I've got the Index's, Top Street, and Jr. Dragster classes done. I've been speaking with a couple sponsors for the Pro and Foot brake program. What I'm working on is a 32 car qualified field for Pro and 16 car qualified field for Foot Brake. The entry fee would be $200 for Pro and Foot Brake. Pro purse would be $7,000 and Foot Brake $3,500. NO BUY BACKS! If less than the stated minimum cars for Pro and F/B then 100% pay back plus $100 for each of the two classes. I feel like we would need to have a regular program of sorts for those who may not feel comfortable entering the "Big Show". This would allow the racers who go out 1st round to enter the regular race if they so choose. Please keep in mind I'm still working on the Pro and F/B High Roller portion for October 14th. At the very least we'll have a typical bracket race on the 14th.

Hey Mike - this sounds interesting.
How would ladder & purse be structured for this race?

Mike Bradley

The #1 qualifier would run #16 qualifier, #2 run #15 and so on down the line. Qualifying would be determined by the best package of reaction time and closest to dial-in. The best package from the previous round will get lane choice for the next round.

$2,250 Win
$750 R/U
$250 Semi
$250 Semi

I would totally faint if the money wasn't split with 8 cars or at least 4 cars.

Rick can I count you and the Camaro in for the 14th?

Hey Mike - a few ?'s about tomorrow's race:

How many Q-Runs will there be for the High Roller event?
Will first 16-20 cars entered by guaranteed a spot in Shootout?
What type of regular bracket race will there be tomorrow?
Is there a Pro-Tree Eliminator race tomorrow?

I was told there would be 1 practice, then you dial in and 2 qualifying runs in the F/B High Roller Race. The top 16 with best "package" ... dial in and reaction would make the field. The rest would fall into a regular race for a lower purse. I have a few more questions as well..... The Pro-Tree Eliminator race.... is this a .400 or a .500 Tree? Is deep staging allowed???? (and if so will they give you time to do so?) What is the entry fee and payout for it? And can we run without mufflers for this event tommorow????? I wanted to run some of the "heads up classes" too but was informed I can't without mufflers yesterday evening, so now I'm debating on making the trip because of length of haul. Sounds like a great race and would really like to come!!! THANKS!!!! :car:

I'll try my best to answer the questions.

One (1) open time run and then two (2) rounds of qualifying for H/R ET Bracket Foot Brake and Jr. Dragsters. Remember the vehicle must have a
dial-in for the first and second round qualifying. If you make your second time run without a dial-in you'll only have ONE (1) round of qualifying left to make the show. We'll take the best "Package" qualifying round between the two.

If we have 20 or more entries we'll have a non-qualifiers race paying
$500 Win, $300 R/U. Please understand the importance is making the show. If we have 17-19 cars there won't be a consolation race. ONLY the 16 qualifiers will make the High Roller Foot Brake race.

The only "regular" ET Bracket portion will be the Pro (box) Class race.

Yes, we are having the TCI Heads-Up Super Series Pro Tree Eliminator class tomorrow.

ALL the TCI Heads-Up Super Series classes are run off a 4/10 (.400) Pro Tree.

Pro Tree Eliminator Rules
1. This is a dial-in, pro tree, handicapped start, eliminator designed for full body cars dialed in at 8.49 and quicker. Left-hand steer "bodied" roadsters are allowed in class.
2. Full blinders will be on the tree. Only prestage and stage lights will be visible from opposing lane.
3. Deep staging will be allowed in this category only. The word "Deep" must be easily visible on window of car. Deep staging must be done in a quick fashion. Tree will be held for only a short amount of time. At that point, tree will be activated and it is a race.
4. Drivers may enter this class in addition to an index class. "Black lane, red lane, card system" will determine first round bye run, which will be pulled at beginning of round. Being pulled does not guarantee bye run. Be ready to run another competitor. After first round, closest to dial will determine next bye run, if driver has not already had one.
5. Footbrake and Top (delay box) cars are welcome in this class. Deep staging is allowed to make reaction times more even between footbrakers and transbrake drivers. Full blinders on the tree will ensure that all drivers react to a pure pro tree on their own side.

Entry Fee for Pro Tree Eliminator is $35.
$500 Win, $200 R/U, $100 Semi'

The Outlaw Top Street and 8.0 Index Classes are the only classes requiring mufflers tomorrow. This classes mandates mufflers for all their events to promote street car appeal.

I hope I've answered the questions satisfactory. Feel free to call me at the store if I need to clarify in more detail.

Thanks for the questions!

Just to clarify, Top Street does require mufflers. Also, 8.00 requires mufflers as well since this is a stock suspension street car type class. Hope you make the trip. You can run as many classes as you can handle. We try to work with people running multiple classes as much as we can. Plus, this week, with pro, footbrake, jr. dragster, 6.00, 7.00, 8.00, Pro Tree Elim., 4.70, and Top Street, there should be plenty of time, especially in the earlier rounds.

Also, after the gate fee of $15, the rest is just race entry only. For example, if you entered pro tree elim, and 7.00, then you would pay $15 at the gate, and $20 per class at the tech trailer. Hope this helps.

One more question on the Pro-Tree Eliminator.... If we deep stage, can we roll on into the deep stage bulb or do we have to wait?????? This holds alot of weight for a footbraker on a .400 tree. THANKS!!

Iron Man you can go on in for the deep stage because we manually start the Pro Tree Eliminator class out on the line and not use auto-start for this class as well the Jr. Dragsters. I hope you can make it out tomorrow.

Hey Mike, Sorry I didn't get to make it out Saturday. I was wanting to run the 8.0, but I didn't have mufflers for the car, also after checking my tires on race car, I learned I was about on canvas on slicks, along with the drive, I decided to stay home this weekend. WE WILL make it out to see you guys sometime soon, and maybe bring a few more cars as well. Thanks for all your help and hospitality, and we'll talk with ya soon!!

We look forward to you racing with us. Don't forget to mark your calendar for November 18th and 19th. The final PTRA race of the 2006 season will be the Pro Tree Nationals at Mooresville Dragway. This will be a good opportunity for you to try one of the index classes.
