Went to SS yesterday, had a decent car count in 5.99 and 6.99. Walt and Stacy McIntire won 10.5 but the car count was down. They had the Mustang on a rail and won with a 4.58. Dyer won R/S and ran a 5.01 and a 5.07 and he too was on a rail. I survived down to 3 cars in 5.99 before I lost to Jason Richards who then lost the final to his brother. Track was awsome but it sure got cool when the sun went down. RM

Hey Joe, congrats on getting down to 3 cars!
Was there a Bracket Class run - if so, how was car count.
What is their normal schedule? Thanks for the info!

SS just runs when they want, no real schedule. Yesterday they ran 10.5, R/S outlaw, 5.99, 6.99, 7.99 Footbrake and Pro bracket race. Seemed to be a decent car count when you consider alot of folks were at the Bracket Finals.

Well Mike there's a funny story on the glasses. I had them in the trailer and intended to wear them. Went for the only practice run we got and left them in the trailer. Decided not to use them since I blew trying them in practice. I was .005 first round, then had a senior moment 2nd round and was .091 but got lucky and ran 5.994 and won. After that I was .02 every pass. This was the first race in 2 years that I didn't go red when it got dark........LOL. You know that saying ,even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile? I guess it was my day. JM

Well Joe, I thought the glasses must have been working, as well.
It's great when things go your way on raceday! Maybe the new glasses
will help put you in the winners circle next time. Good luck at the track!

Took the glasses back to the eye place today and they adjusted the bi focal down. Much better now so maybe next race I can try them. RM
