Has there ever been a 10.5w race @ JPD if so when ? If not why not?

We've not scheduled one since we bought the track last year. We didn't have any 10.5 races in 2005 as well felt like we should give it a season or two for us to learn the promotions rope. At the start of the 2006 season we noticed a reduction in Outlaw 10.5 cars at a local track that had historically draw a good field of cars and spectators. I believe they had three cars at one event and four at the other. One of these races paid $10,000 to win and the other paid $5,000 to win. If this kind of money didn't draw cars then I don't know what would. We may try one at some point and time if the market looks favorable.

With that much money being on the line you would think that it would bring the big fish out and if the little fish are think that, they will not show. Bring the purse down, stay around 2500.00-3500.00 and the little fish will come out. One last thing :The any thing goes [no rails] as long as it has 10.5.. They are many ways to get a turn out we have to thing outside the rim.

You're correct in the packaging format for 10.5. I've talked with some of the Outlaw Limited Street guys about a true "Outlaw" 10.5 event. No minimum weight restrictions, any engine package, cars must meet back-half rules for SSCA and ORSCA Limited Street. I'm still debating 10.5 VS 10.5-W. If and when we schedule one I'll post it on the forum and home page.
