We look forward to seeing everyone for the kickoff of our 2007 IHRA Summit Super Series racing season. We're working on a diverse schedule that will have a little something for everyone. Bracket racers will have the IHRA Summit Super Series as the foundation for the bracket program. This program rewards those racers that support their "Home" track with a runoff at the Bracket Finals of track Summit Super Series champions in "Box", "No-Box", and Jr. Dragsters. The winners from each team final in "Box" and "No-Box" will go to Rockingham for a shot at the 2007 World Finals champion for their class.
We also have the Classic Gear Jammers returning for two events in 2007. If you saw their two shows here at Pageland Dragway in 2006 you'll be treated to the same show again this season. If you missed this group of high RPM, clutch action, sky high wheel stands competitors you'll want to make your plans now and mark these two dates down. Their first show with us will be Saturday May 12th and then return Saturday September 29th for their last race of the season.
If heads-up racing is in your blood then you'll want to check out our heads up programs this season. We have returning this season for two events, the Pro Tree Racers Association, Saturday April 7th and Saturday October 27th. They have a program that most anyone can find a class that will give them the exciting .400 Pro Tree experience. Be sure and check out their website at http://www.headsupsuperseries.com/for all the classes and rules.
Continuing on with the heads-up program is the Southern Street Car Association returns to team Pageland for two events in 2007. The dates are Saturday May 19th and Saturday October 20th. Mike Fulbright and gang always put on a great show with some of the fastest "Outlaw Real Street Cars" in the south.
Top 8 4.70 Doorslammer dates are Saturday May 5th and October 6th.
Coming to Pageland in 2007 will be Extreme Outlaw Pro Mod'. This will be an open field of Outlaw Pro Mods that will be heads-up,first to the finish line wins. This group will be open to clutch and converter cars alike. March 31st will be a meet and greet exhibition by some of the Extreme Outlaw Pro Mods. The 1st Extreme Outlaw Pro Mod race will be Saturday May 12th along with the Classic Gear Jammer Association.
In conjunction with the Pageland Watermelon Festival we have a new event scheduled, "Glide Wars", Outlaw Pro Mods with a torque converter. This race is sponsored by Foxfire Coatings (704)485-4522 Oakboro, NC. The details will be available very soon on our website.
Speaking of websites our brand new totally redesigned website should be on-line within the next couple of weeks. Derek Moore, Picture in Picture Productions, is putting some of the finishing touches on it now. It will probably take a good portion of this season to get it fully implemented with all the new classes and formats we're working on.
