Here's the latest shot of my Nova as it is today. My Mom passed away in Ohio so I have been up there in the ultra cold and snow with my family so the project has been delayed over a week. Today I got a jury duty notice so things are not going as well as expected. JM

I know you said you were adding some/a lot of HP to your motor - what changes are you making? Where are you gaining the majority of your
increased power? Are you going to run a bracket class this year?

Building a totally new motor. It should be pretty stout if I didn't screw anything up........LOL. It has all the right stuff in it to go fast but we'll just have to wait and see how good it actually runs. It's about 100 cubes bigger than the old motor and I hope to do alot more bracket racing as well as the HUSS races and SS index races if they have any.......LOL. RM

Joe I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Looks like you're making good progress on the chassis upgrades. Are you hoping to be ready for the first P.T.R.A. event in April?
Good luck and I hope to see you at the track this year. We've put in an extra stock of chicken just for you.LOL
Take care!

Thanks Mike. I plan to be ready as long as things go as planned. The new motor, new chassis and I hope new paint should all be done if bad things quit happening to me. Now I got jury duty Mar 12 for a week. Being retired keeps me busy.......LOL. RM

Just thought I'd post an update of the project. The chassis fabrication is done but still needs painted and I started on fabbing some tin finally. The motor has been mocked up several times now and after I cut the pistons and balance the crank that part of the project should get started with some results. After losing my Mom in early feb my wife was hospitalized for a week and while she's home now she still can't do what she usually does so I've been a bit of a homemaker as well.......LOL. I was able to call and get out of jury duty due to her problem so at least I can get a little done being at home. Not sure when this will be done now but I'm still working for mid April. I guess we'll just see what happens next and keep moving forward. JM
