is there any possibility or room on saturdays to run an open practice session from the 3:00-3:45 time frame. since the track opens at 2:00 and we dont do anything till 4:00 could there be room for an open test session? also it could give your HRT cars more passes. just a thought and i wanted to know what everybody else, and you mike thought, about it?
thanks.

Alan I don't think the "open practice secession" will fit in our plans as such. One of the issues we're trying to alleviate is everyone piling up at the gate at 2:00. When you have an hour, 2:00 to 3:00, to get in and get unpacked it can rush things a bit. I do agree with the idea of giving the racers entered in "Hot Rod Trophy" an additional practice session. How else to get better than making passes.
I've thought about running the Jr.'s earlier in the program to add a degree of safety to the show. Safety first and then the focus will be keeping the stagging lanes flowing with cars until the end. It might keep things flowing if we had a couple of rounds of Jr.'s completed before eliminations started for "Top", "Mod", and "HRT". We'll see how things go the first couple of races and adjust as needed to keep everything running as smoothly as possible.

Hey Mike good day of practice today was'nt very with the times we ran but i guess to do any better i've got to make drastic changes. One thing that i like'd was we've not lost anything from last year. Thanks for taking care of this for me.

Thanks 2camaroracing. I want to echo the kudos to Tim, Jeff, and race director Danny Ross for the job they accomplished in a weeks time. They diamond ground and polished the racing surface this past week, washed the surface, applied the new VP Racing Fuels LC6 traction compound and reapplied the rubber. I spoke with a couple of bike racers yesterday that said they ran a tenth and a half quicker yesterday than they had ever been. Buddy "Big Show" Plyler ran his best 60-ft and E.T. ever with his Nova on the new surface. SSCA Outlaw Real Street racer Kenneth Little made back to back 5.44 passes his quickest E.T.'s ever preparing for next weeks SSCA event.
Good luck to all the racers in 2007.

Open Test-N'-Tune for everyone. During the gamblers race we'll keep the "Box" and "No Box" cars separate in the lanes as long as possible.
Tony and Michelle Brown are working on a couple of bonus programs for the Pro Tree Eliminator class. If you haven't tried one of the PTRA classes PTE is a great place to start.

A big "Thank You" to Jeff, Tim and everyone that worked so hard on the track
last week. The track is smoother than ever and is now about even in both lanes. The air was not as good Saturday as I had hoped, but my car hooked great and ran about even ET's in either lane. :biggrin2:
Thanks again for all the hard work and money invested to get the track ready
for this weekend's season opener. See you on Saturday!
