Mr.Bradley,I want to know if you can explain the points system to me.I am looking at the standings and don't understand how things are.When you get a free moment if you will,how about try and explain things to me.I mean like,do you get points for entering and how many points you get for winning and do you get a point for winning teh buyback round?Just want to know.Thanks!!!!

Points Awarded:
1 Point for Entering
1 Point per Round Won (excluding re-entries)
3 Bonus Points for Event Win
2 Bonus Points for Runner-Up finish
Points stop with last round won.
Re-entries do not earn points (other than the 1 Point for entering event)

Grits824 I hope this helps you understand our 2007 points at Pageland Dragway. Our points basically mirror the IHRA Summit Super Series. This is the reason why a racer's points stop with the last round won. If a racers loses 1st round, reentries and goes on to win rounds or even the race they are racing for the money and bragging rights. The reason for the points stopping with the last round won is we are trying our best to ensure that the track champion and the Summit Super Series are one in the same. Since there isn't a race of champions at the team finals but a race of SSS winners from each track that participates. I spoke with many tracks operators that allow points to continue after buybacks and they all for the most part have a SSS champion and a track champion.

What I've proposed to IHRA for 2008 is to forget all this 30 round PR hoopla and just let the tracks tell IHRA who our "Box" and "No Box" track champion is at the end of the year. The way the 30 round PR system is structured it doesn't *lock* a racer in to the track for the entire season. In my opinion the SSS should *reward* the racer/s that support the weekly racing series at their home track. I hope this helps explain the points program.

Hi Mike been looking at the points standing & at this time seeing what i see & what the paper we got at the meeting has printed & what you just replyed then there seem's to be a mistake in some of the points tally's at this time also there are points given to people that were'nt driving but had a car there that someone else was driving.

I went back and reran the numbers and came up with the same numbers again in "Top". The only thing I have to go on is the round sheets. If someone has the wrong number on their car then I wouldn't know that without someone saying something. Please if you know of a flaw in the car number, driver, or rounds won or loss please let me know. The points go to the driver so maybe someone was driving someones else's car and forgot to change the car number to their own.

Now I know why we normally have Wendy take care of the points and not me.LOL The round sheet actually has Chris winning and loosing 1st round.:whoops: I pulled the computer log and Chris lost 1st round and reentered and went on to win the race. He won the race but only received 1 point for entering the race.

I had Jimmy Cunningham down as the driver for car #6398 when it was Rick Cunningham. When they filled out their tech card they put down both of their names. Maybe they think it's a relay race.LOL

Hey thanks for the fast response & yes you will be glad when Wendy is back taking care of thing's as for as the relay race well i do'nt think it would have mattered if you remember what was said in the PM proably won't matter any way one say's it's a waste of time to join the points & if you think about it you'll know who it is
