Finally have all the interior aluminium done except for the tunnels. I thought I could make it thiis W/E but reality is that won't happen. Still have to plumb and wire everything back up, bleed the brakes, install the windows and seats. Can't get it all done in time. RM

Joe it looks like you're making good progress. I was pulling for you to get her back together in time for the season kickoff but looks like you'll come up just a little short. Hopefully you can make it in October and feast on some of our world famous chicken served weekly in our Finish Line Café.

Mike, My origional plan was to have the car finished for Sat and run it in 6.0 with the old driveline in it. Since that didn't work out as planned I now plan to just finish the whole deal and install the new motor and converter while it's down. I wanted to dyno the motor but Duggins is so busy he can't do that for a couple more weeks and the motor will have too much torque for our dyno so I'm just going to put it in the car and let it eat.......LOL. Slack should finish and ship the converter today and the vacuum pump should be here Monday so you should see the car in a couple weeks. I may go shake it down a little at SS on a T&T but I want a good prepped track to let it all hang out so J/P is the closest place that can provide that......LOL. Hope to see you soon. Keep the chicken strips hot for me. RM

Dang, Joe - you sure do some pretty work. It looks like you could go into
business building tube chassis cars. Your attention to detail is incredible.
I may have to get you to build me a car someday or talk you into letting me
take that Nova off your hands.
See you at the track soon!:biggrin2:

Thanks Rick, I like to fool around with things and I always try to do the best I can. The problem with doing nice work is nobody wants to pay for it......LOL. If I paid myself 10 bucks an hour this job would have cost far more than it worth so I only do it for myself and my closest friends. Getting hard for the old body to do good work too. This came out decent but not being able to flex and bend real well and see without cheater glasses makes it a chore......LOL. It's not the best job I've ever done but it is the best I can do at almost 60 years old........LOL. Hope to be able to get out in a couple weeks. Heres a shot of the rear firewall.JM
