The second half of the 2007 season kicked off with the first race in Series-2 this past Saturday night. When the last win light lit we saw new points leaders in both Top Eliminator and Modified Eliminator classes. Anne Jackson, Effingham S.C., moved into the lead by picking up her second win of the 2007 season defeating Billy "Pee-Wee" Hunter. She is the first repeat winner in Pro of the 2007 season.
Modified Eliminator saw Chad Williams pick up his second win of the 2207 season against Aaron "Hot Rod" Brock which catapulted him into the points lead as well. The top 3 in points heading into Saturday night, Michael Beard, Calvin Watson and Buddy "Big Show" Plyler all lost first round opening the door for Chad to capitalize on their eliminations.
The Jr. Dragster class was hotly contested for race #9. Trevor Jenkins, Heath Springs S.C., picked up the win defeating Aaron Paxton. Trevor is now tied for 3rd place in points.
Hot Rod Trophy was an all GM final round round with Lisa "is it race day yet?" Wilson piloting the LS6 powered 2004 Pontiac GTO defeating Rusty Gaytko driving the small block powered Chevrolet Malibu.
Congratulation to all the winners.
