I was at a Nova site and a guy posted some shots of Novas. Saw a green Nova, stock appearing, with the wheels in the air and a caption that said, Jeff Starns car. Is that the same Jeff Starns as we have here? If so, nice ride.

Joe that may be the very one. Jeff' is green and is a 1971 model. He has owned the car since high school. In fact, when I opened up October 15th, 1984 he was my first customer. More useless information.LOL He campaigned it for a number of years in Hot Street, Pure Street classes. It has always been small block powered. He's put a mild 383 in it now and put a tag back on it. He brings it to the track occasionally. Seems odd not seeing it dragging the rear bumper or the master disconnect switch off from time to time.:D

Stevesnovasite, guy posted pictures of several Novas for some reason to make a point of some sort. I saw Jeffs name posted above one and just got curious so I asked. Here's the link to the site. Look in the BS section under, Hey Johnny...painted bumpers going fast, RM

That picture was taken at Moroso Motorsports Park in February 1997. The photographer was Jeff Burk. He did a feature article about Jeff titled Loud, Lime and Lethal published in the magazine, iNOVAtive CARS. At this time it was powered by a 378-inch small block that I had built. The next race was in April in Rockingham. Maybe my mind plays tricks on me but it sure seems like the racing was "better" back then. All forms of racing not just drag racing. The next time you see Jeff ask him about his car and the fun times he's had with it over the years. Warning, be prepared to hear the war stories.LOL:D

Thanks for the info, Mike!
I'm sure Jeff has some stories to tell,
I'd like to hear a few of them & yours.
I did not know that you build/t motors - do you still?
From the looks of that picture, that 378" SBC was darn strong!:D
What kind of times did it run? I'm sure that memory of yours remembers.
We'll have to talk about this some more.
