thanks you guys for all the kind comments. it just came together finally saturday nite. it wasnt all me thats for sure, God was right there telling me what to do and i had quite a few brakes along the way. i think i was more excited about the bye into the final than i was about being in the final because i lost the bye into the fnals 2 weeks ago by .001 to Buddy. this was my first career win in an eliminator. i won earlier this year in a gambler's race against the always great Anne jackson, and ive won some other gambler type races but not an actual main event. lol...yea rick i could hit a double oo in practice if i tried (.482;.497). i wanted to say congrats on team pageland for well representing saturday night against invaders from mooresville and darlington. we showed them we can get done too. but thanks michael for helping out more than you could ever know. joel- those are just simple tips that have been taught to me and ill tell anybody on my team that i can to try and make them better so we all can perform better as a team, but it will take some time to get comfortable with that lil tidbit. billy, aaron & rick- it has been great getting to know you guys this year, and you made newbie me feel more welcome at pageland this year than ive ever felt anywhere else. i hope to continue that frienship for years to come. mike bradley- ill tell you this, a racer could not ask for a better track owner than you and the other guys. you have listened to us, made changes to try and better the program by thinkng outside the box, and you take everybody's info into consideration for even more improvement for next year. saturday nite was my last race for the year. me and my wife are looking at building a house, im in a changing of careers, and i want to build my other car to dome some class racing beard and the gang. but ill be on here checking up on you guys. so have a sucessful rest of 2007 and ill see ya in january or february at the driver's meeting.

Congrats Alan on picking up the win Saturday night. I for one appreciate you racing with us this season. Good luck on the new home construction. They always say if a marriage can survive the process of building a house together then it's pretty rock solid....LOL
I thank you for the kind words. I've given it 110% for the last three years and I think it's time to step back a little. Doug Mayhew has stepped forward and asked if he could write the first draft of the 2008 bracket program. I see no reason not to harness his enthusiasm for putting a program together. He and I will work together along side the racers to give the bracket racer the best program we can. I would suspect the program will look very similar to the 2005 program when the dust settles.

Congrats Allan on your first win. Nothing quite like it. I could hear you hooting and hollering in the car when you came by. I hope you don't ever lose that enthusiam. That's what its all about.
Now invaders from Mooresville? I didn't see but 2 regular Dirty Mo racer's(Danny Ray and Myself) and Hollis Reid who runs the Dirty Mo too, on occasion and he WON:biggrin: . Heck he beat me with 6 cars:biggrin: . But Danny and myself are hardly invaders. We ARE Pageland cars. Ask anyone at the Dirty Mo or for that matter at Pageland.

Inquireing minds wants to know. Once again congrats on the win Sat i had forgot that you beat Anne early in the yr in a gamblers race which brings this question up. At that time you had a button on the steering wheel it remained on the wheel up until this past wk end. Did you not like the location of it or was there to many questions just what was the deal. You must really like where it is now oo's & a bye into the finals then a win (LOL) just a little fun wish you the best on building your new home hope you get back soon

Yeah Billy, Alan & I had a talk about that button - too many 00's coming outa that little Nova:eek: - nah, I think he had his line-lock run thru that button.
I wish I had my camera to catch a shot of the smile on his face after that Win! He probably still has that big grin on his face.

mike, i wasnt there for the 2005 season so it will news to me. brian, i know you a JP guy all the way. i was just refering to the footbrake cars. you're never an outsider im my book, just a spy at the dirty mo. and dont worry i wont lost that enthusiasm and excitment every time i win or even get in the car.and have you heard whats goin on there for next year? just been hearing alot of different stuff. billy, i was actually in bob wagoner's GTO when i won against Anne earlier this year. i had to move the button because of the bracket finals and too many people askin questions about it, and besides it was actually after the track checked me that i got a lil unsettled and started to hammer at the tree. rick, i still havent got the grin off my face. it has took me 8 years to get that one so it will be special for a while.
