Got done mounting the generator stand to the trailer. Hope we went a little over board with the bracing and stuff. Got it bolted to the trailer tounge and a couple of 1 inch long welds on each side to keep the honest honest. Going to finish up the aluminum cover for the generator next week. Also going to change how we mount the generator to the stand. That just got it home, but worked quit well. We are also going to have the box lock to the stand, again to keep the honest honest.

Yea, I'll have to give the welding credit to my brother-in-law. We both came up with the bracing ideas, and I think we did OK. After we got it mounted up and I was getting ready to leave, he told me to make a few "short" trips before we decide to make the weekly Pageland trips.:biggrin2: I'm sure it'll hold up just fine, we both pushed and shoved on it trying to break it loose at the shop and all it did was rock the trailer back and forth.
He can flat out weld, and builds those Cobra cars for a living. Here's a link to some of the stuff they build. http://www.whitbymotorsports.com/UHome.asp His mother has a early to mid 90's Mercury Cougar that she is going to give him. That's our next project after he finishes his 300Z which he has set up for drifting, and let me tell you, that thing is awsome and I do not like that kinda stuff. It didn't take but a few trips to the drag strip and him helping crew for me, to give him the drag racing bug. Hopefully we'll have another car to enter in the FB catagory at Pageland next year.
Thanks and Take Care

Hank maybe your brother-in-law could drive the tow truck in Super Street on Saturday's until the Cougar is ready. Just a thought.

Without a doubt, that's the plan. First time he ran that truck at Farmington, never made a pass down the 1/8 mile mind you, I told him to roll in deep and go as soon as he seen a flicker of the 3rd bulb to go, don't anticipate it and don't let it get bright. He was .013, I told him he needed no more lessons after that. LOL
