:helmet: MIKE, I have a question in reference to the points money we paid in at the begining of the season, I called IHRA to get my license and they told me it would cost me $60.00. From my understanding when we paid the $30.00 to the track, it would help pay for the license.IHRA told me that it only cost $10.00 to run the points, where is the other money if it wasn't for the license. IHRA told me that they don'tissue the license until they are paid in full. Mike, i also have another thing that i would like to discuss with you. I agreed to sponsor the pro class at the begining of the season, and i am a man of my word, I just can't understyand why i never had any kind of advertising of any kind.I haven't heard my name or johnny's mentioned at any race. I have heard other sponsors names mentioned every night over and over again. Saturday i heard best bet heating and air mentioned i know six or seven times. I log on to the points page and i see lawrence chevrolet sponsor of the pro class of pageland dragway. I don't see my name or johnny's mentioned on anything protaining to jpdragway. I am going to close by saying MIKE I am a man of my word and i will hold up my end of the deal.

The $30 that each person paid to be entered in the 2008 points program went to IHRA when we chose option "B" which placed everyone in Pro and Footbrake automatically in the Summit Super Series which allowed us to crown the "Box" and "No Box" champion under our original format. It was my understanding that a portion of the $30 that was mandated by IHRA would go toward your license renewal at or before the Team Finals. I wasn't aware there was any problems until Brian had called me the other day to say there was a mix up with the $30 entry. I called Donna Harper (IHRA) and sure enough we had collected and sent in money for some people who didn't need to pay anything and some only needed to pay $10 and some needed to pay the full $30. I asked Donna to send me a report last week listing the racers who were due a refund which she did. I then put each racer who was due a refund the appropriate amount in an envelope with their name on it for Wendy to give out this past Saturday. If memory serves me correctly everyone came to the tower and got their money but one racer and I'm thinking it was Buzzy Campbell. I sent Anne Jackson a check. Here is a list of the names submitted to me by IHRA that was due a full refund or a partial refund.
[QUOTE=Donna Harper/IHRA]There were 6 racers who had memberships that were current and only needed to purchase a number for $10. They will need to have $20 refunded to them. They are:
Dannie Haigler
Marty Nicholson
Danny Ray McManus
David Dean
Buzzy Campbell
Don Anderson
There were 7 racers who had current memberships with Summit Super Series numbers already. They will need to have $30 refunded to them. They are:
Chris Yates
Calvin Watson
Buddy Plyler
Brian Hicks
Anthony Cassidy
Sonny Burr
Anne Jackson
Honestly I have no idea what it's going to cost for your IHRA license. I'm as confused about this as y'all. The main thing to remember, we haven't charged anyone to be in the track points this season. Any and all money was passed through to IHRA for this program. At the end of the season we'll look at the pros and cons and see if "Option B" was the best choice. If this hasn't answered your question(s) satisfactory feel free to call me. I believe you have all my contact numbers.

Barry I apologize for any misunderstanding regarding the sponsorship from you and Johnny. You had said at the beginning of the season you would get me the information for the website for both you and Johnny. I don't remember getting the promised information from you. Lawrence Chevrolet was the previous sponsor from last season. Now as far as what's announced on Friday and Saturday that is Doug's call. I would assume the "new" names you may be hearing is the sponsors who have signed up for the Kendall Funderburk Memorial 10K Fall Shootout presented by M&M Motorsports. I would ask that you talk with Doug this weekend to see where the confusion might be. Again, feel free to give me or Doug a call as we'll be more than happy to make things right on our end.
Take Care.
