View Full Version : 2009 Jr. Dragster World Championship

I wanted to let you know that IHRA is looking into the possibility of adding the Jr. Dragsters to the 2009 World Champion series. It would work very much like the current "Box" and "No Box" formats within the Summit Super Series. Each participating SSS track would have a Jr. Dragster entry at their Bracket Final and the winner of the runoff would go to Rockingham in October to run for the World Champion title. I see no reason why the Division-2 East winner wouldn't come from Pageland. How about you?


I'll pass along any additional information as I receive it.

Not a problem... I hope this proposed program will happen in 09. Some D-2 tracks aren't real pumped up about it due to the low Jr. Dragster car counts at most tracks. I told IHRA if the event is held close to Pageland I honestly feel like we could bring a team of 10 to the event. We'll see how things progress and go from there.

David good luck in 09. Hope to see you racing at Pageland when you can this season.

hey mike not sure where im going to be racing at this year but if were not racing no where else for points when there are points races we might show up there and sign up and try for a championship.:helmet: im ready for the competition cant wait to start racin :biggrin2:

Theresa that sounds good. With Drake Coatings Inc. as our title sponsor again this season we know our Jr. Dragster will be strong tough. Hope to see team Phillips at Pageland this season.
